Experior Laboratories is qualified to test fiber optic cables in accordance with MIL-PRF-85045 and various slash sheets covering specific requirements for individual cable variants. These fiber optic cables can be constructed using buffered fibers, OFCC (Optical Fiber Cable Components) that are not grouped into bundles, buffered fibers or OFCC that grouped into bundles with bundle jackets or binders, with fiber ribbons, and/or hollow tubes or ducts.  For optical signal transmission such cables can use multimode and/or single-mode fibers and accommodate designs suitable for airborne, shipboard, ground benign, space, and ground tactical applications.

Laboratories carrying out qualification testing shall be deemed suitable by DLA (Defense Logistics Agency) in Columbus Ohio and must be MIL-STD-790 approved.
