Quartus Engineering and Experior Labs are pleased to announce a partnership to provide integrated services for our clients in the Aerospace industry and beyond. Our joint capabilities span criteria development, test methodology and custom test fixturing, pretest analysis, test execution of a wide variety of environmental conditions – vibration, acoustics, static, modal, shock – and others, test control including force limiting, test reporting and model correlation.

Quartus Engineering was founded in 1997 to provide quality advanced engineering services that help industry leaders advance their capabilities and solve their biggest problems.

Quartus specializes in the design, analysis, and prototyping of precision systems using computer-aided technologies. Engineering is our passion — and supporting other engineers in a timely, cost-effective manner is our goal.

Quartus provides a wide variety of engineering services to help technical teams tackle big challenges in some of the universe’s toughest environments. We specialize in developing complex systems and structures that require high precision and high reliability — with key expertise in analysis & testing, custom metrology solutions, robotics & mechanisms, and precision optical systems.

Structural Analysis

GENERATE QUALITY MODELS EFFICIENTLY
• Import geometry from a variety of industry-leading software
• Develop models in multiple formats
• Brick & shell meshing of complicated geometries & systems

ADVANCED EXPERTISE
Quartus Engineering has expert capabilities and extensive experience in using Nastran, Abaqus, Hyperworks and ANSYS, among others, for structural analysis. Quartus can help solve challenging analysis problems, resulting in enhanced capabilities, shorter schedules, improved processes, and higher productivity.

Structural Dynamics

Quartus has a wide range of capabilities for performing structural dynamic analysis. Capabilities include:
• Normal modes analysis including modal effective mass
• Transient analysis for time-domain events
• Sine vibration analysis
• Random vibration analysis
• Shock response spectra (SRS) analysis
• Explicit analysis methods (Abaqus and LS-DYNA) for highly nonlinear elastic problems
• Mechanism simulation including integrated stress/deflection analysis
Jitter and optical performance

Thermal Analysis

The analysis group at Quartus has experience performing thermal analysis and solving challenging thermal management problems for a wide range of applications and industries.

Coupled Loads Analysis

RAPIDLY PREDICT CRITICAL LOADS
Coupled loads analysis (CLA) is a critical process for many high-technology systems including launch vehicles and satellites. CLA predicts responses caused by major dynamic and quasistatic loading events such as liftoff, gust, buffet, and engine startup and shutdown. CLA helps to minimize risk and maximize the probability of mission success.

Composite Analysis

Quartus has extensive experience in the analysis of composite structures. Areas of expertise include:
ANALYSIS-DRIVEN DESIGN

  • Laminates
  • Sandwich panels (aluminum, kevlar, nomex honeycomb, foam)
  • Bulk molded components

Modal Survey Testing and GVT

Modal testing allows our customers to understand the dynamic behavior of large structures by physically testing and measuring fundamental mode shapes and frequencies. Quartus uses industry-leading software and hardware for all phases of modal survey and ground vibration testing. Our engineers perform pre-test analysis, create modal survey test plans, supply all test equipment for data acquisition, and perform data reduction for mode shape extraction, and correlate the finite element model (FEM) to the measured modal frequencies.
