Cryogenic Vibration and Shock Testing
for Space Component Qualification

At Experior Laboratories, we’re redefining what’s possible in extreme environmental testing with our newly activated cryogenic vibration and shock testing capability. Purpose-built for the aerospace and defense industries, this one-of-a-kind system allows dynamic vibration and mechanical shock testing on components that are externally conditioned to cryogenic temperatures as low as -305°F (-187°C, 85°K)—with no submersion or direct on-unit spraying.

Why Cryogenic Vibration Testing

As modern spacecraft and advanced sensor technologies push deeper into cold-space environments, component qualification must keep up. Traditional test setups often require submersion in cryogenic liquids or custom-built cryostats, which limit flexibility, increase cost, and introduce thermal inertia.

Experior Laboratories’ new system changes the game by offering:
• External cryogenic conditioning with no submersion or spraying
• Custom-designed vibration fixture doubling as a cold plate
• Manually controlled chamber with real-time temperature management
• Shaker-displacement interface supporting dynamic motion without chamber mounting

Technical Highlights

The cryogenic vibration test system integrates innovative mechanical engineering with robust thermal control:

Minimum temperature achieved: -305°F (-151°C)
Displacement tested: 0.25″ (with higher capability possible)
Test fixture: Functions as both the mechanical interface and thermal plate
Chamber interface: Allows relative motion of shaker without fixed attachment
Temperature control: Manual adjustment for precise, reliable results
